Hosoo in Lund

Postby Alikvot » Sun Feb 10, 2008 2:59 pm

Hallo you songsters,
here is a faboulus link to a consert with the overtonechoir Volare together with Hosoo. Schwedisch folkmusik with Hosoo making drones in the cathedral. Two cultures on same time so far and so near each other. I hope he will be back in Lund soon.

Hallo Rowan,
overtonsinging choires are something new for Scandinavia. That goes also for mixing it with our folk music.
By the way Suvdaa mentioned that you were going to Chandman in wintertime. Do you intend to go there in this very year?

Best regards

Iver,
That's really interesting.
I hope to hear a few more. You told me some interesting things about these choirs on our Journey, too - [I think I remember you telling me you met Ylva there before the journey, right???].

Yes, that's right. I discussed a lot of plans with Hosoo through mail. I've got big plans, and it's really great that Hosoo is willing to help.
This time I will bring professional recording equipment in stead of homecamera ;).
Those plans are for first half year of 2009.

Hallo again Rowan,
yes I met Ylva for the first time in Volare. The overtone choir from Lund that I engaged for a summerconcert in the church of Tjörnarp. That was about one month before our trip to Mongolia. Some pictures from that event are still to be seen in resdagboken.se

Everything was recorded in the cathedral but I do not have access to the other pieces that were performed. In some of them Hosoo was more in focus and I think those were even better.

I am impressed by your planes. Thor Heyrdal, and other scholars, are heros of mine since my green years. Fortune favours the brave!

Best regards

Iver,

Funny I've never noticed those group pictures in resdagboken, nice to see.

There is not a way to get more recordings? I'm sure I'm not the only one interessed in something more to listen to!!
