The board keeps forgetting me. I check the "Log me on automatically each visit:" box, but I almost always have to log in manually.

interesting as you were also one of the people who was having userid problems with the uploads. i recommend deleting all cookies from khoomei.com and trying again. there is also the chance that your machine is set not to accept cookies. check those settings or try another browser.

oh and could you please try posting a file to see if we have the thing fixed

I posted a file. no problem. I didn't delete the cookies yet,

OK, I deleted all cookies, and logged in checked the box, closed the browser opened again, and I was automatically logged in. I'm cautiously optimistic. (because we have yet to see what happens if I exit the browser for a longer time, or shut off computer).
