Trust? Nah, it opens in a browser window and begins playing nearly immediately, and if people like what they hear they can continue... if not, they can f*&! off, er, uh, stop downloading.

What can I say... I like such improv, and don't believe that music must (or should) be doled out in 2'50" bits. And .00125% of the public agrees with me. (I originally uploaded 'em for our bass player and drummer)

Plus, the new site allows a HUGE bandwidth, so what the heck!

Kool, I'll turn my auto-downloader on the "repeat" setting, can't let all that fresh bandwidth go to waste!

nice stuff Steve, and the drummer sounds like he was having a good time throughout!

Sh'yeah, I recorded it in our little living room, so balance is tough. If he doesn't pussyfoot around, the drums tend to be pretty high in the "mix." And we can't have pussyfooting, now, can we? Maybe it could use some iggle wiggle, though...

And congrats or apologies, yer in the .00125%.

Aha, here it is, I read someone mentioning this thread but I couldn't find it. I originally posted some music I recorded in the "media news and reviews" section, but as my music is not an official album I'll delete that thread and post the music here instead. Its theme is spiritulity, shamanism, and occultism, and it is intended for meditation, or trance, or ritual, or etc...

here is my music, no links wit khoomeï but i hope to put some throat singing in my band. I also play in an irish band since i've been living in Ireland. I've met a guy few years ago who sang overtones in irish session. it was a very interesting sound :D

Yes, I have recorded Tracks, mostly remixed music by other artists or enhancements/hommages of existing recordings, but one might like them.

I guess, full music here only from external servers? I'll fetch one soon.

This is probably the WORST audio track layering I have ever heard.

Not so much the content, but the sound quality. It's clipped, overdialed and hissy.

I listened to it nonetheless, without fast forwarding, all 7 tracks. Basically I like it, too bad the layering ruins the effect, there is even DC hum on it. :(

Ok, here is the youtube channel of one of my projects: http://www.youtube.com/user/Grenzflaeche
There will hopefully be more videos as this year proceeds, we will see. They might contain some throat singing, but not as a main aspect. It's supposed to be experimental music (well, I experiment, so it's experimental...) and the next song should contain lyrics, but they will definitely be german. But you might like the music, my pieces all sound different, so the next one will sound different from the tune that is up now, so why not subscribe? ;) I'm just suggesting, not begging for it. ;)

Well, I'm there.

How did you make this track? It sounds quantized. Is it programmed into a sequencer of sorts or actually played live?

You will laugh when I tell you...
;)
It was programmed in Magix Music Maker, the only music software I know that runs on my laptop... But I think it's not as bad as people say. The instrumental "Weltaufgang" which is online now is actually a piano-piece sounding very different, but I remixed it for youtube. My goal is to release an album someday and it will feature the original version which sounds quite different. I'm working on tracks with strings, too. There are some tracks that are very industrial, and some quite classical. But I don't know much of the theory, so it's probably not conventional music, but it isn't intended to be.
I also don't know about the technic of synthesizers, either. I'm just pressing buttons, so I don't no what quantized means. But it probably is.
Btw, thanks for subscribing. ;) I hope you'll like my other stuff (if I ever finish another track...)

Quantization means that the notes could be recorded as keystrokes or the like on an input device such as a MIDI keyboard and then fit to the closest 1/8 or 1/16 note. Because the timing of fingers touching keys may be a little off, quantizers are used to make the rhythm work perfectly.

The piece "sounded" quantized to me because the rhythm of the notes was perfect within the tempo. If it's programmed, then it's "played" by your computer in perfect meter, no need to quantize.

I have not made any such tracks myself, as I have little time to do this. I have made some drum and percussion loops to layer in with melodic tracks, but I have not done so.

I used to work quite extensively with sequencers, synthesizers and LFOs, albeit with very limited resources. My absolute flagship track was made a long time ago and is a mash-up of six or seven songs, all transposed to the same key, and then mixed with extreme prejudice
